The Wolf Moon

This January moon is named for the wolf for two reasons: it occurs during the time of the year when food is scarce thus bringing the wolves into the villages in search for food, and the wolf pack is representative of the family. Wolves keep the same families for life.

This is the time to spend time and make peace with family, blood relatives, extended family and family figures. Wear shades of burgundy or rose, and burn rose or burgundy-coloured candles. Alternatively, pine incense is also acceptable.

These colours represent family, love and togetherness. Now is the time to resolve issues that have weighed heavily upon your family or that you have been unable or unwilling to address or accept.

This full moon is in the astrological sign cancer. Use this moon to explore previous lives, make a connection with the past or to renew old traditions.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

The Wolf Moon is always so pretty with the frosty nights, was that howling I heard?

Thanks Granny, I hope you are OK my Deario, I've been thinking about you and send best wishes, always.

Gill, I know what you mean! Perhaps we only cut loose from them in this lifetime if we make peace with them.

There are certain family members I wouldn't want to meet up with again!

How are you I must fly around Blogland soon :>)

Hi Blue, lovely Blue Goddess, thanks for visiting :>)
