~ The Fool ~

Color of the day: Black
Incense of the day: Jasmine
Today we honor the Joker, Fool, and various trickster characters. And what a perfect time to do so. Buds are swelling on branches. Seeds are sprouting, and the earthy scent of soil is in the air. The world is fresh and young, and the Fool begins his journey. The tarot depicts the Fool as an innocent traveling the path of life. He looks skyward without a care, even though he is near the edge of a cliff.
Meditate on your own life's journey today. Start by looking closely at the Fool card from your favorite tarot deck. Imagine your life being as uncluttered and carefree as possible, then on your altar spread out a blue cloth.
Place a crystal sphere on the cloth, and gaze at it without thought for a few moments. Let all images come and go freely, and simply be open to all possibilities. Naturally, you need not forge ahead foolishly. The best lesson the Fool can teach us is this:
We are free to create our own opportunities.

You could be describing my older son who wakes to a brand new world every morning.

Going to bed - we lose an hour tonight.
